Through Mango Education, I have the privilege of bringing educational, leadership, and communicative expertise to companies, individuals, schools, and community organizations. This comes in many forms including providing professional development, writing curriculum, and consulting with international schools on program development, cultural competencies, and creating a vision and mission.
At the core, I am a teacher. I teach teachers. I teach third graders. I teach high school students. I love schools and I care about how schools operate, and how those in charge support kids—of all ages. I’ve focused on Literacy and Leadership in my educational career, and I enjoy supporting strong leaders to be even more effective whenever possible.
Working with company leaders and their teams is also incredibly rewarding. Some of the recent talks and training topics I’ve offered include: “Engaging Empathy in Leadership”, “Fearless Reinvention in 3 Truths”, “The 5 Pillars of Self-Care for Executives”, “Honest Reflection and Why It Matters Most for Leaders”, “Good Enough: Where would we be without It?”
How am I certain I can help these accomplished educational leaders?
In addition to personal qualities and achievements, my extensive background in leadership, education, psychology, mindset coaching, business, and living abroad have given me a perspective not often found in educational and leadership consultants. I spent more than a decade living abroad while leading, teaching, presenting, and exploring in over twenty-five countries, raising three children in a multi-cultural family, school, and environment along the way.
I grew up watching my mom work as a maid or a babysitter and my dad as a custodian when he could. I learned how to figure things out, make mistakes, and keep figuring things out until they worked! Education was not a priority in my family–surviving financially was. I started at community college and eventually ended up doing graduate work at Columbia University. Soon, I’ll have my PhD. My husband and I have raised three children who are usually more than reasonably happy, healthy, and successful–each making their unique mark in the world. Most importantly, they are good, kind people, and we’ve been able to give them experiences we could never have dreamed of.
Life is filled with opportunities and I now have the chance to teach the principles that I know work for better leadership, more meaningful interactions, and a more balanced life. Perhaps because of my unique background, I am uniquely equipped to deliver impactful training to accomplished leaders and professional educators who crave and deserve something fresh, meaningful, and immediately applicable.
